Ever wonder why a Muslim is allowed
by Allah, subhana watallah, to get sick?

Hadith - Bukhari 7:564

I visited Allah's Apostle while he was suffering from a high fever. I touched him with my hand and said, "O Allah's Apostle! You have a high fever." Allah's Apostle said, " Yes , I have as much fever as two men of you have .",   I said, "Is it because you will get a double reward?" Allah's Apostle said, "  Yes , no Muslim is afflicted with harm because of sickness or some other inconvenience , but that Allah will remove his sins for him as a tree sheds its leaves " .
 

Hadith - Muslim & Bukhari

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri r.a. reported that the Prophet said:  ' Whenever a Muslim is afflicted with a hardship , sickness , sadness , worry ,harm , or depression - even a thorn's prick , Allah expiates his sins because of it '
 

Recorded by Bukhari in al-Adab ul-Mufrad (no. 493), verified authentic by al-Albani

" Expect good, because Allah (s.w.t) makes a believer's sickness an expiation ( for his sins ) and a period of repose. As for a disbeliever falling sick , he is like a camel whose owner ties it and then let it loose - it does not understand why it was tied , nor why it was freed " 

,Dari petikkan yang di atas  ,. .penyakit adalah suatu hikmah bagi kita . So janganlah kita merintih sangat 2 apabila didatanginya. Syukur Alhamdulillah kita sakit sebagai seorang Islam
.Disebaliknya, ada baiknya jika lita memahami whats going on , it makes us feel better when we understand some things some times. Let's go back to the roots . Dimana asal-usulnya penyakit tertentu yang kita sedang lalui sekarang . For the purpose of this tracing-back I am using Z as the constant pesakit )
Andaikata Z (representing you or me or anyone) is curious and tertanya2 kenapa & mengapa Z menhidapi penyakit tertentu ( can be anything ranging from frequent colds , constipation , PMS, headaches , kebas-kebas,obesity .......to Diabetes, SLE , Hypertension, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Depression ,Cancer or even AIDS ) . or bagaimana boleh berlaku demikian padahal Z selama2 ni memang 'health-conscious' - pergi gym regularly  &  makan food-supplements dll.. Please bear in mind . falling sick is not an overnight process .  Z is not well . There are several possibilities - heriditary , congenital & damaging life-style are the few obvious ones to me . The truth is ,although Z was diagnosed yesterday, the process has been going on for quite a long while,  in some cases it began in mommy's womb.

• Anti - tetanus injection given when Z was in the womb . Terkejut jugak apabila jururawat minta saya datang for anti - tetanus injection during my first pregnancy dulu . Sebagai seorang layman ,ingatkan that is for kancing gigi ,which u catch when you terpijak paku karat or the like . When enquired the reply was,"......takut nanti gunting yang akan diguna for episiotomy ,berkarat ".......# what epiosotomy ?? ......" all 1st time deliveries diwajibkan epiosotomy in gomen hospitals " . # what the ...!!
• When Z is trying to make its entry to the new environment ,from the cosy warmth in mommy's womb - in some cases , drugs are adminisered to mommy to prevent bleeding just in case. And more to 'help' mommy feel no pain . No doubt these are necessary in some cases. However , in most , its not - still used inspite of the risk factors . This far ,Z is still inside , already 2 drugs or more precedes the rest of load coming and keep on coming for the rest of its life . If only we have more faith in the lessons thats been clearly shown in the Quran. instead of intervening the natural processes whilst causing damages .
  The pains of labor drove her to the trunk of a date-palm. She exclaimed: "Oh, if only I had died before this time and was something discarded and forgotten!" A voice called out to her from under her: "Do not grieve. Your Lord has placed a small stream at your feet. Shake the trunk of the palm toward you, and fresh, ripe dates will drop down to you. Eat and drink, and delight your eyes. If you should see anyone at all, just say: 'I have made a vow of abstinence to the All-Merciful, and [so] today I will not speak to any human being.'" (Surah Maryam: 23-26) .

• The Entree .- more poison , the BCG . Try if you will , to stand uo for your rights against this .....you will succeed eventually insyallah . Its unpleasant but worth it .Otherwise , just add on another drug to your collection ( 4th one now ) . I prefer to welcome the sweet celebrity with warmth and kindness . Ikut jerr apa Islam dah suruh , Save all the trouble of having to find out  if ' this is safe ? ' or 'that is necessary ? ' or ' is this proven ?'

  Abu Musa reported : A child was born in my house and I brought him to Allah's Apostle (may peace be  upon him ) and he gave him the name of Ibrahim and he rubbed his palate with dates .     So ??   A sweet intoduction to the outside world  OR a painful prick of poison ?
