2ND COMPONENT OF HEALTH - RIADHAH


FRIDAY ( my favourite day) . 9th.November.2012 : 11.34am

Assalaamualaikum .

Having elaborated on the 1st of the 1st component of  health - Food ( much more to cover yet ) , lets switch momentarily to another ie. Riadhah . This means exercise in the Arabic language .Our present life-style is designed to make us fat , lazy , sluggish , & ultimately sick .Sick here covers our mental , physiological and most important of all , spiritual . I mean , look at the food topic i posted last .Whatever ill-state of health we are suffering from ( be it a frequent ache or something monstrous like cancer ) has its beginnings long long ago ,as early as the day we were born .This has been planned , to which we were oblivious . Alhamdulillah , many have realised  .Hopefully more will.
Do you realise that our heart pumps more ? Hence , blood  moves more efficiently through our body whilst distributing food and oxygen , thus nourishing every cell that it touches when we exercise ?Masaalahnya we are seated at a desk facing this machine , radiating out harmful waves for 8 hours( or more ) on a daily basis .No wonder , our backs are aching , our eye-sight deteriorating , our skin is pale ,our joints are stiff ,our hearing is impaired...............compounded effect of all these , due to the resulting sluggishness in blood- circulation over a long period , we get undernourished cells >>> undernourished tissues >>> undernourished organs >>> undernourished body systems >>> A SICK HUMANBEING .
Daily Exercise is imperative in maintaining sound health.. Jangan salah paham ye , tak lah semestinya kene pergi gym or swimming or scuba-diving or horse-riding or kene beli costly rowing machines , weights etc . Kalau boleh buat memang cukup bagus . Tetapi ,kalau tak laghat or tak ada masa or tak mampu , be creative lah . Buat yang wajib dulu , then diikuti dengan yang sedia tercongok depan mata , this way tak ada lah sangat nak buat alasan .
As a start , Solat is an excellent means of moving your blood , loosening your joints , aligning your spinal column , nourishing the brain .Done well , each and every posture in solat ,does wonders to the sick and healthy alike , tak cerita lagi bab the effect it has on our mental state and our soul .Alhamdulillah , if only we simply obey and obey well enough , we wouldn't be in a mess .Fact : do you know that in the act of 'sujud' , the blood goes to parts of the brain thats not reachable in any other way ? And do you realise that the brain controls the rest of your body . Do you need to know that before you perform  your sujud properly ......

In Islam , sports is encouraged , and our Prophet Muhammad s.a.w has mentioned it in several occassions .   1. It's kind of ironic. When we are little we are taught how to read an write. We are told we have to study history and literature and science,etc. However, there are really basic things we are not taught nor encouraged to seek knowledge of. We just follow what people around us do. We eat like the people in our family, often copying the worst habits. We assume the same level of physical activity as friends and family and that may or may not be good. Then after maybe two or decades of living we wonder why we are not healthy. Most of our problems came from what we put into our bodies and whether or not we exercised. So, sister, may your post(s) on this topic help us to play catch up!

    1. Thanks ummahzy . Once upon a time ,we were unaware ,that's true .Alhamdulillah ,if people like you and me work together in concerted team-work ,Insyallah we will be able to educate the generations to come.
