Dear readers ( especially to the netizens ) ,
it's amazing how technology has SPEEDup up our LIFE .Thanks to modernisation , it's a matter of hours to fly from Malaysia to The Holy Land . Memories of our emotional farewell-event for my arwah atok's departure to Mekah filling my mind . 40 years ago she went by ship and the journey took about 3 long months - many got sick on the journey and some even passed away while they were at sea . .Subhaanallah .
Masa di- UK dulu , kita orang talipon Malaysia setahun sekali je iatu untuk ucapan selamat hari raya kepada Abah & Mak . Selain dari tu , berutusan surat je memanjang . Dah pergi sana tak balik2 sampai dah selesai for good. .At that time travelling was such a hassle . .Zaman sekarang Iz , my adik talks /skypes daily with Mak.. Mana ada surat-menyurat lagi . Semua pakai tekan butang je .....zap ! macam magik pulak .
We used to walk or cycle to school , makan masa dalam 20 - 30 minit . We walked to town too ,which was twice the distance to school . All these are not the habits of today's youth . The kids have to be 'chauferred' everywher irrespective of being athletic or otherwise.
Kita kene giling lada , kisar beras , parut kelapa manually masa nak masak .. Basuh baju takes hours - sabun dulu , then berus , then thoroughly tenyeh the dirts & sabun out ,then hempas then finally rinse them all . And repeat the rinsing process 3 times or more . Nowadays , tekan butang baju basuh seniri . Cilli boh , kelapa parut or santan semua boleh beli dah siap.......nak cepat lagi ??? tekan jer butang , McD , Pizza Hut , Domino's or Mak Nab delivery akan menjelma , rain or shine .
Dulu , kaum bapak toreh getah dan tanam sayur dan tangkap ikan .......sembelih sendiri ayam kampung belakang rumah . Sekarang diorang hadap computer almost 24/7 for some ( eg in the advertising industry ...oops ) . Mommies pun sama , come to think of it.. In fact , grandMommies pun dah terikut2 . Akibatnya , due to the sedentary nature of their work , whereby blood tak ada peluang nak circulate properly + exposure to the long hours in air-conditioned rooms , pinggang /belakang /badan semua sakit2 at a relatively young age .Ultimately ,by the time you pencen ( 58 years of age ) , you would have accumulated an impressive list of AILMENTS .
## HEALTH TIPS FOR BEGINNERS : 1. make sure you fine-tune your solat postures because each and every one of them does wonders to your health .
2. The next time you park your car , do not opt for a space
thats the closest to tempat yang dituju ( ofis or rumah or supermarket or kedai or mana2 except for hospital emergencies
3. Walk & walk & walk !
