Bismillah.
Empat hari lepas ( Sabtu) Abah called . Ni bukan perkara biasa . Tidak seperti
arwah Mak , Abah hardly picks the phone . In fact the cell-phone yang ada pada
dia now was Mak's , he had no choice but to stick to that for us to stay

connected with him . So bila any call datang from that number (which is his now ) , mula berdebar sikit . " Lin ! Abah punya ubat2 yang engkau bawak selalu tu dah habis tauu ....! " Bila ditanya yang mana satu yang dah abis . Beliau jawab in that ever high-spirited tone regardless , " semuaa dah habis .....takpelah kau hantarkan kopi ke teh kau tu jerr .. yang lengzi ( Lingzhi ) tu tak payah , mahal sangat ". Tulah parents , always compromising . Sweet and yet kesian . Tak putus2 pengorbanan mereka untuk kita ...selagi hayat masih ada . Walhal It is something that he wants and he needs badly . Anak2 pun kelapan2 bukan calang2 status kerjaya masing2 , on top of how much they love him ...pasti theywould be more than willing to let him have whatever he wishes Cuma orang tua kan , dorang rasa tak nak menyusahkan anak2 . :( .
With respect to healing , curing illnesses and the rest Abah is cognisant of what choices he has plus the pros and cons of each . Apakan dia many times in our lives ( and he is not an exception) we don't just get whatever we want . He pulak tak gamak nak cakap dengan diorang .Circumstances especially affordability plays a huge chunk of a role in making decisions in our lives. Hence the importance of being wealthy the more so as one gets older. Dulu2 , when I was much younger we used to believe and nourish the idea that if we have children / a child who we bring up to be successful later in life semua akan ditanggung beres , kita tak yah risau lagi about our own welfare . This statement is full of loopholes . Think about it . Terkejut juga bila aunty mula2 nampak his latest collection of western meds

Last2 jika umur panjang , akhir2 hayat nanti terbaring diatas katil dek akibat ubat2 berasas kimia yang dah kita makan hari2 . Tapi buat aunty terkilan ialah prednosolone , the new addition . Rasa marah bercampur sedih . Serba salah dibuatnya . Nak marah takut jatuh derhaka kepada orang tua nak diamkan takut nanti jadi macam arwah Mak . She spent the last three months of her life in hospital which she didn't enjoy . Finally I reminded him gently , about the possible consequences of taking the drugs , to which he absolutely agreed . Tapi jangan terperanjat if he continues taking them. In the meantime below are what I managed to scrounge for , at the beck of his last minute's summon.
Selepas a heart-to-heart discussion baru I got it figured out kenapa Abah masih insist on taking the ubat2 hospital walupun dia tahu ubat2 tu memudaratkan dalam jangka masa panjang . And I suppose it does apply to others in a similar situation .
